For overall fitness of body and mind, a host of activities during the day are planned. These are topped off by regular health monitoring. The sports facilities at SESOMU is the envy of many.

  • MORNING ASSEMBLY
     

    A 5 minute Pranayam session heralds the school day, followed by atmosphere vibrating Omkar and 10 minutes of deep  meditating silence session for students of classes I and up. This enhances concentration & grasping power. The meditation and pranayam session is followed by a 15-20 minute session to enhance spiritual development and to enrich the general knowledge of students. The session includes activities like prayer, a spiritual song and a  patriotic song  with music played by students, talks by students and teachers on the Action Word for the week, a thought-for-the-day, reading of news headlines, general knowledge questions & answers, concluded by birthday celebration.

  • ACTION WORD OF THE WEEK
     

    The students are given an action word per week, which is either moral boosting, inspirational, thought provoking or disciplining. During prayer time students and teachers discuss relevant stories or their experiences of application of that quality in their daily activities.

  • YOGA & SPORTS
      Yoga & Sports have become an integral part of school activities. Enough time is allotted for these energizing activities.

  • THE MUSIC
     

    The students synchronize themselves in "SUR, LAYA & TAL" in the music room. Training in both vocal & instrumental music to the students arouses  the melody in them. Playing of instruments during the morning assembly is shouldered by the students.

      A healthy mind dwells in a healthy body. To maintain sound health & physique the students undergo a physical training session including Gymnastics.
